So everyone is talking about the inauguration & our First Lady's outfit. The yellow shift dress with matching coat is designed by one of Michelle Obama's favorite designers, Isabel Toledo. I love the statement she makes with the green Jimmy Choo pumps paired with the green leather gloves. Its the perfect ensemble for the day's events.I've been sayin this for a while now, "Jackie O. is out & Michelle O. is in!" America agrees Mrs. Obama is the new Jackie Kennedy Onassis for sure! Its kinda sad we haven't had a fashionable First Lady since the 60s. All in All, I'm so happy to have this confident & stylish woman of color representing our country as First Lady. Also I really loved the outfit she wore last night at the Kids Inaugural Ball. Her belt was beautiful, but I can't find a good picture of it... will post asap.
So I was BLOGGER browsing last night and came across a blog called Beaucoup FLYY. This chick had a picture of this outfit she had put together, and I just had to have these shorts. So I click on it, thinking it will take to where I can purchase them, and it leads me to discover my new obsession. POLYVORE is super effin awesome!!! I'm in love.I put this outfit together based of the shorts I saw on her page. This is soooo me :-)
the CITY by ASHtastikI'm probably a little slow on this discovery, but I'm glad I found it. Thanks *beaucoup FLYY*. Now I can use the site for creating my mood boards. Here's a mood board for a collection I've been working on for awhile. I was inspired by Alice in Wonderland and decided to go with a 60s Mod look.

So basically, I got bored & decided to start blogging. Its kinda nice to have a place to let it all out tho. I've just started my last semester of school. I'm a Apparel Design & Merchandising major @ a state college. My sewing skills are sub par, but I make up for that with my amazing sketches and understanding of construction. I LOVE FASHION, and although I'm still trying to find myself as an artist, FASHION WILL ALWAYS BE MY PASSION.My style? I don't know.... I like to stick to classics, but i like to pair it with trendy items. What does that combination create? Idk... I was first inspired by coco CHANEL and diane von FURSTENBERG. (Classics)Then I discovered betsey JOHNSON and HEATHERETTE. (Trendy/super FUNKY)And now I just love marc JACOBS and zac POSEN. I think they fit right between classic & trendy. That's right where i wanna be :-)I love, Love, LOVE shopping @ FRENCH CONNECTION and/or ZARA. But most of the time I get the French Connection look for less @ FOREVER 21! Yayyyy Me!!So that's about it for now. That's me, in a nutshell, I guess. Oh! And I work @ ABERCROMBIE & FITCH.-peace & love-
